November: Gratitude

Hello my lovelies, I hope you’ve had a wonderful Thanksgiving. I know the R & R was so great on my mental health and physical. The end of the year can be rather stressful, especially for those still in school. Whether you’re a teacher or a student, breaks are so often needed after the semester grind.

I spent this year with Manny’s family and of course then hopped on home for a fun little dinner and game night. I often find that what I miss the most about being at home is the kind if quiet hustle that happens rather than the active I constantly go under at school. At home I get to work on my online life a lot more and I don’t have to worry so much about little things like buying food, gas,etc because a lot of is a by product of my parents. Something I often take for granted.

Around this time I get really reflective, and out of that arose a poem. I decided I wanted to introduce poetry on my Youtube channel, and it felt appropriate to share it here with all of you.

Poetry is something near and dear to my heart and I hope you enjoy. Let me know what your secret passion is in the comments below! Everyone has something that they love to delve into, whether its reading, interior design or photography. I also want to take a minute to say thank you. I know I haven’t been so consistent but in a way, I needed this space. I needed this time apart to find my voice, to find what I want to share and to find a bit more peace.

I can’t do it all, no one can, not without sacrificing peace of mind, at least. So I pick and choose, one day I write, another I shoot (aka video) and sometimes I do nothing at all. I plan on doing a video on this in the near future.  But balance is key to an abundant life. Dont feel guilty for choosing yourself.

Until next time
