Back To School Lookbook: 3 Easy Outfits

So I totally know I’m late in the game but I recently posted on my Youtube channel a back to school lookbook. I’ve never created a video like this before and it was so much fun to share this side of myself on the internet. Fashion is something near and dear to my heart. I love the ability to shape shift on any given day to match your mood or occassion. Aesthetics are kind of everything to me. They shape our perception of ourselves and others, whether we want to admit it or not. But the power that we have over that perception is really immeasurable!

Anyway, I thought I’d post on here with the 3 outfits I shared and give you guys the DEETS that my subscribers didn’t get! I hope you enjoy and while I’m not in school anymore I wish you all the best of luck! These are just outfits that I feel are comfy, perfect for the transitional weather and fun!

Outfit #1:

Outfit Details:

Top: Kohls (Similar)

          Jeans: Jc Penney (Here)

                              Shoes: Thrifted from Zara Originally

                Backpack: Old Navy (Similar)

The trend I wanted to try and have been DYING to own a pair of is of course the girlfriend jeans. Embroidery has been EVERYWHERE and will continue into this fall season. Its on everything from sneakers to button up tops. These jeans are everything I can ask for. Comfortable, loose but still fitted with some structure and they don’t completely hide your bum ( an added plus!)

Outfit #2:

Outfit Details:

Sweater: Walmart (Here but my color is sold out)

Skirt: Romwe (Here)

Shoes: Thrifted

Backpack: Urban Outfitters (Similar)

Ok, button up front skirts are pretty much all the rage varying in different materials and textures. I aimed for a denim one because I’m all about the denim skirt revival to be honest. It makes me feel like I’m back in middle school minus the leggings underneath and braces (thank GOD). I am OBSESSED with this marled sweater and I’m so sad that my exact color is sold out but, can we take a moment of silence for Walmart COMING THROUGH with this piece. I bought it in a large because I really wanted that oversize feel and look. I’m in love, love, love with this whole look. It screams comfort and ease while still being on trend.

Outfit #3:

Outfit Details:

Dress: Urban Outfitters (Similar)

Embrodiered Bomber Jacket: Marshalls ( Similar or if you’re plus-sized this is a great option! )

Shoes: Kohls (Similar well actually better in HO)

Scarf: Thrifted

If I’m being real with you this outfit is filled with items from last season, but I wanted to show how you can repurpose certain trends and make the outfit fresh. Bombers were all the rage during the spring but I kept the vibe autumnal by pairing it with this kind of rust and black striped swing dress from UO that I adore. These chukka boots add a bit more pattern play while still keeping the look grounded. I tied in a scarf to keep the pony on trend since these hankerchiefs are just about everywhere. All in all I love how breezy this is!

With all of these outfits things can be added or swapped out depending on your climate. If its warm take off the jacket. Cool? Add in a pair of knee highs or colored stockings. Make these outfits your own! Lookbooks are all about inspiration and making pieces your own. I hope you enjoyed and let me know what are your favorite trends to bring out this fall!

Until next time
